On November 20, 2024, North Huntingdon Twp Board of Commissioners took formal action to redistrict Strawpump VFD's primary fire district after they received an ISO Score of 10.

The Insurance Services Office (ISO), also called Public Protection Classification (PPC), is a score assigned by the Insurance Services Office to a fire department and its surrounding community, indicating how well prepared the area is to handle fires based on factors like fire department capabilities, water supply and emergency communication systems; a lower score (1 to 10) signifies a better fire protection level, with 1 being the best rating and 10 being the worst. This rating is primarily used by insurance companies to determine insurance premiums within a given area with a better ISO rating generally resulting in lower premiums.
